Delete Account & Data

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

1. Open the Nowby app and sign in to your account.
2. Go to the Profil (Profile) tab in the bottom right.
3. Scroll down, tap Hapus Akun (Delete Account), then confirm.

Your account is deactivated immediately: any active Session ends and its location data is erased right away, and you no longer appear on anyone's Radar.

Option 2 — Without the app (by email)

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, send an email to byteskydev@gmail.com with the subject “Nowby Account Deletion Request”.

Send it from the same email address as the Google account you sign in with — that is how we confirm the request genuinely comes from you. Requests are processed within 7 business days, and we reply once the deletion has been carried out.

What gets deleted

As soon as you request deletion, your account is deactivated and your location is erased. Within 30 days at the latest, the following is permanently deleted:

• Your email address and account identity
• Your display name and profile photo (including the photo file in storage)
• All Chat and Ice Breaker conversations and their contents
• All Connections you formed
• Session history and location data
• Notification token and device information

The 30-day window is deliberate: if the deletion was not intended, you can still reverse it within that period by contacting us at the email address above.

What is retained

If your account was ever involved in an abuse report or moderation action, that record is retained in a form detached from your identity. This is necessary to keep other users safe — without it, a violation history could simply be erased by deleting the account and signing up again as if nothing had happened.

These records no longer contain your name, email, photo, or any message content.
